Prince Charles and Camilla to visit Cornwall

Details have been announced that the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall will be visiting the county next week starting on Wednesday the 19th of July. The couple will visit several businesses around the county as well as charity centres.

Prince Charles will visit the Cove Macmillan Support Centre at Royal Cornwall Hospital where he will meet patients, staff and care specialists. The Duchess of Cornwall will visit Shelterbox, a charity she is president of, and spend time at their new headquarters and visitor centre at Truro. On Friday the 21st July the royal couple will visit the St Protus and St Hyacinth Church at Blisland where they will attend a service before moving on to Tregunnel Hill where they will present prizes for the best hanging baskets and meet staff and volunteers from the Cornish Patronages. Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust will also receive a visit from the Duchess who is Patron of the trust. This will take place at Trevithick Downs, Newquay and form part of the 30th anniversary celebrations for the trust. Businesses to receive a royal visit include Great Cornish Food, an independent grocery store of Newquay Road, Truro and Caterlink, a company in Bodmin which manufactures ice cream cones, toppings and accessories. The Duchess will tour the factory there and meet many of the staff before sampling some of their wares.
