Perranporth School aims to fly the flags!!

An £8000 project is planned to put Perranporth well and truly on the map for visitors by installing a series of vivid colourful flags throughout the village. The art co-ordinator at Perranporth school is leading the way by signing up local groups to create these unique pieces of art, depicting all that is good about Cornish village life to brighten up the village centre.

Bloodhound is a roaring success in Newquay!

An expert team of British engineers have produced the ‘Bloodhound' rocket car which will hopefully break the land speed record of 763 mph next year. The team carried out a series of tests this week at the airport at Newquay. These were designed to assess the performance and safety of the car and to demonstrate the engineering prowess involved in its production.

The one that didn't get away from Cornwall!

A giant lobster has been caught by fishermen in Cornish waters. The gigantic creature which is estimated to be at least 50 years old has been transferred to its new home at the Blue Reef Aquarium in Newquay, where it is expected to draw in the crowds.
