The Eden Project introduces Science Weekends

The world famous Eden Project near St Austell in Cornwall is to begin science weekends during the month of January. These fun packed events are sure to entertain and educate visitors to the centre and have a separate theme for each weekend. On the 14th and 15th will be the Far-out Forces weekend with explosive experiments where visitors can get involved and assist the crazy guys from the Ministry of Science who make sure that each show goes with a bang, literally.

The saying the luck of the Irish rings true as from 14th March of this year four flights per week, Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday will increase to six flights per week in April from Newquay Airport to Dublin.

Good Times Ahead for Penzance Dry Dock

Established in 1834 the Penzance Dry Dock has seen good times and bad, it was saved from Administration by the Isles if Scilly Steamship Group in 2009 when they acquired the lease for the docks.  The dock gives employment to fifteen people who provide a range of services from ship repair, welding and fabrication and not only for the Marine Industry.  The Dry Dock has won a large order in connection with the rebuilding of the Penzance Jubilee Pool.

Cornwall to Receive Millions of Pounds to Encourage Tourism

The Chancellor, George Osborne has today announced plans for Cornwall and the Scilly Isles to receive a substantial package for the area to be able to attract more visitors. The target is to have over three million tourists visiting from overseas by the year 2020, an increase of 800,000 on today's figures.
